Business name, address and contact details, laid out like a proper letterhead.
A clean line-item table
Eleven blank rows with the subtotal, VAT and total built into the same table, so every column lines up however much you type.
A checklist of landscaper jobs
A prompt list at the end covering indian sandstone or porcelain patio, per square metre, type 1 sub-base, laid and compacted, rolled turf including topsoil, per square metre and more, so you do not forget a line. Delete the box before you send it.

The two sections that stop arguments later, already worded for you.

Is this landscaper estimate template really free?
Yes. It is a Word document, there is no sign-up, no email address needed, and you can use it for as many jobs as you like, including commercially.
What do I open it with?
It is a standard .docx file, so Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Apple Pages and LibreOffice all open and edit it. On a phone, the Word or Google Docs app will do.
Should I use a template or the estimate generator?
Use the template if you want to type everything yourself and keep total control. Use the generator if you would rather write two lines of rough notes and have the whole document written for you. It produces the same structure, priced from your own rates, in about two minutes.
Do I need to add VAT?
Only if you are VAT registered. The template has a VAT row you can delete if you are not. Our guide on VAT for tradespeople explains the threshold and the domestic reverse charge, which catches a lot of people out.
